Kathryn Cross, M.D., Ph.D.

Biography

Dr. Cross is Assistant Professor in the Movement Disorders Program in the Department of Neurology. She completed her MD and PhD degrees at UCLA followed by clinical training in Neurology and Movement disorders, also at UCLA. With funding support from NIH and DoD, her lab examines the neural correlates and electrophysiological signatures of symptom heterogeneity in Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders, with a goal of developing biomarkers and treatments for improved neuromodulation therapies. She is a practicing Movement Disorders Neurologist with emphasis in deep brain stimulation.

Area(s) of Expertise

Dr. Cross' research combines brain mapping, electrophysiology and neuromodulation techniques to study action and gait in Parkinson disease and other movement disorders.
